Super Summer Theatre

What a great experience. The drive wasn’t long for us about 20 minutes. When we arrived the lines were long but moved quite quickly. There are helpers to organize parking so it was easy to park and to get out at the end. Everyone brings picnic style items because it’s outdoors but you can purchase low to the ground chairs and regular sitting chairs. They section the areas off for fair viewing. We bought out own sandwiches, lots of snacks and drinks but there was food for purchase. They have yogurt, hotdogs, popcorn, there was a pizza vendor and a coffee vendor. There are also real bathrooms that were clean and stocked. They play itself was great. It was very entertaining. This was a fun and relaxing experience. I recommend you come out before the summers over.

Always amazing and always a pleasure.  Coming here makes me love living in Las Vegas even more!!  Mary Poppins was great!  The kids loved it, we loved it–everybody happy!!  We love chilling out in the grass, and watching an amazing production.  The price of tickets, parking, snacks, etc is very reasonable for a family.  Don’t miss out!!  You can tell that the staff, actors, stage crew, etc, put their heart, soul and hard work into every production.

Hidden treasure in the desert.  We saw Mary Poppins last night and it was fantastic.  Great performance by all.   Brought in a picnic to share beforehand and enjoyed the beautiful meadow and cooler temperatures.  Website is clear with all the need to know information.

MARY POPPINS Great performance last night (4 June) This cast and crew (mostly volunteers) are AMAZINGBeing outside in an open air theater is pretty awesome to begin with but out there it’s beyond cool.A great landscape to throw down a blanket and watch a great show.I’ve been out there for a few different performances and no kidding, they have all been VERY GOOD… Mary Pippins was pretty exceptional They now offer a VIP desk and you get blankets and chairs already there for you which was great however, you can rent stuff and there’s always a good food truck or two out there if you don’t park your own.Complete five star experience for sure and fantastic to be outside and watching a great show! Keep up the great work!

I’ve lived in Vegas for 6 years and just found out about this place, talk about a hidden gem!  Located at Spring Mountain Ranch, the views are breathtaking and the shows are fantastic. There are two sides you can sit on – one is picnic blankets and stadium chairs only and the other side is for your standard camping chairs.   You can bring your own food or alcohol,  but they do have food trucks and concession stand if you don’t want to haul it all in.  Everyone on the staff was so friendly, volunteers make this place so great!  Will definitely return for their full lineup next summer, you can’t beat it for the price!

This was my very first time at the Super Summer Theatre. To be honest I didn’t even know this theatre existed. A friend of mine invited me to watch the musical Annie (Late August) and when we were following the navigation system, I was surprised were this was located. The drive from Las Vegas wasn’t that bad, less than 30mins away. If you’ve been to the bonny springs then, its right next to it. The musical that I watched “ANNIE” was freaking amazing. I enjoyed it. This location for this theatre was very refreshing. It was great to be away from the big city of lights and just be in the mountains of relaxation. TIPS: *They rent chairs ($1) but make sure you bring a cushion because if your show was 1.5hours long like mine then your butt starts hurting. *They allow you to bring your own chairs if you please and well and blankets to sit on the floor.*First come first serve so make sure you come early to have good spot. *They do have restroom, the lines do get long but they were pretty clean. *Bring your own food and snacks. You’ll get hungry. If you’re lucky they will sell food at the event but it is a little expensive. *They do allow alcohol drinks.*Bring a blanket or sweater (Depending on when you go) May I add, all the volunteers were AMAZING!!!!  From parking our cars to leaving the theatre. I can’t wait to come back 🙂

What isn’t to like.  Musical theater, blankets, picnic baskets and coolers and the price is right. We saw two shows this summer, Chicago and Into the Woods and both were high quality entertainment. If you like musicals, go see one at the super summer theater.

I’ve been to this area a million times but have never taken the time to check out a show here. Some friends of ours invited us to go the the play Chicago last night.   The show starts at 8 but t hey wanted to go at 5?   I was like huh?  Ok let’s do it.  We get there, park and bring in all the food and drinks we want.  Basically partied for a few hours before the show and then REALLY enjoyed the show.  This is a great experience.  They have a lot of great volunteers helping with seating, parking and any questions you may have. Super Summer Theatre, Chicago!!!! This is my first review here but definitely not my first visit to this sweet venue. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this show. It was rated PG-13 but I have only watched kids plays there so I was a little worried PG-13 still might push towards younger crowd. Boy, was I wrong! The adult humor was there and quite a few curse words were used. Girls dressed provocative and dances a nit on the dirty side. This doesn’t need to be a novel (since I like to write so much on my reviews), not all that is necessary here. If you ever get a chance to watch this show at the Super Summer Theater, you’ll have such a wonderful time!! Great Venue with Great shows!! Bring the family and/or friends!!! Love this place!!

As part of my birthday celebration, we went to see ‘Chicago’ on Tues 6 August 2019 and it was hands-down the BEST production I’ve seen on the mountain yet. Troy Heard (formerly of the brilliant Onyx Theatre) did a fantastic job as Director… the costuming, acting, dancing and music were all spot-on, easily rivalling any West End or Broadway offering!!!As an added bonus, the evening temperature was lovely with a gentle breeze. The only thing missing was that wonderful wild burro who used to come to the fence and sing along with the actors. He always made my night.
