I went here for the first time and ordered a simple latte which I found to be pretty good. What really surprised me was how clean and cozy the atmosphere inside was because, from the outside, it didn’t look like much. The barista attending me had a great personality; he was easy to talk to in English and Spanish. This is a great place to meet with friends and get coffee or enjoy some time reading.

A small spot with a darker vibe, tucked in a shopping complex a bit south of a busy section of Eastern. I like coming here to do longer work! There’s plenty of seating and a big open counter, so it feels nice and big despite being darker inside. They have their roasting program in the back, all open to view, which is also nice if you’re curious about the process. I love the way the coffee is crafted, and their cold brew is one of few in town I really enjoy because it has so much flavor! The roasts are excellent and seem to show off the profiles listed quite well. The espresso is also solid and well pulled, even the decaf, which I need now due to being a previous barista and REALLY appreciate when it’s good. I like that I can have their beans across town as a lot of smaller shops source their beans. A random but amazing purchase here was a pear and hops kombucha they had a can of in the fridge – that was fire, please get more of them! I love the staff as well, they’re incredible people who are down to make you the drink you want, not the one they think you should have. They are clearly crafters of their drinks, I LOVE Y’ALL!

Came here just on a whim, love trying different coffee shops and this one seemed cool as it’s also a brewery! As soon as you walk in, on your right will be their merch (hats, shirts, sweaters, glassware and coffee bags) also will be a small refrigerator that has canned cold brews, in front is where you order at the counter, also a small pastry display, and on the left is the seating area. I wasn’t sure what to get especially because I don’t drink coffee, I asked the barista what they recommended, asked what I like and was offered the Passion Elixir. I was also a little hungry, and the cinnamon roll looked amazing! The cinnamon roll is pretty big, good enough for two people or someone who’s really hungry, I believe it had crushed walnuts on top, and the cinnamon roll icing throughout was delicious, not overly sweet and brown sugar evenly distributed. I loved how crispy and flaky it was on the outside and soft on the inside. Now for the drink, the passion elixir is a very refreshing drink, the matcha is earthy, the yuzu is citrusy and fresh, and the simple syrup is tangy and little sweet. I love how all the flavors are showcased and none of flavors are muted by each other, it’s a perfect drink for a hot day!

This shop is all about the coffee snob. Some pretty high tech equipment. I ordered a breve with simple syrup. Not a whole lot of different syrup flavors. This tells me it’s about the flavor of the coffee. The espresso roast was a Columbian/Ethiopian blend. Great! Two of my favorite coffees. The staff member was very friendly and did a great job, taking care into creating our coffee.I recommend this to any coffee lover!

Despite opening up and turning up late on Sunday, I appreciated the workers there. Nice small coffee shop.Tried Sumatra and Brazil pour over. It was good, but the coffee fragrance explosion that I look for in a pour over wasn’t there. I give them a 5 star bc I liked the guys and would return again.

If you are an avid coffee lover, this is the spot for you. It’s tucked away in a strip mall but the place has a lot of seating and options. Kind of dark inside but I would say it’s a nice place to study. The baristas are super nice and helpful when it comes to describing the options they have and their recommendations. We were recommend one tonic and I got a custom drink with yuzu foam!  Our drinks were delicious and we got to hang out there for around 2 hours. The coffee is STRONG too. I usually don’t feel the effects of caffeine but I definitely felt it here. Not for those with a low caffeine tolerance. Everything was very flavorful and nothing was bitter. Take your coffee freak friends here!

Super rude staff, zero customer service skills and very passive aggressive. NEVER coming here again. I went in to finish an assignment, wanted to settle in and as soon as I sat down,I felt very  uncomfortable as the barista was staring at me with a very mean look. I asked for the WiFi password because it wasn’t on display, and she accused me of not wanting to purchase anything. She humiliated me in front of other customers. And when I offered to buy something, she continued to give me more attitude. I’m never coming to this establishment again. Donut wasn’t good either.P.S if I could give 0 stars I would.

I recently visited Dark Maroon Coffee and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed! Their vanilla latte is my go-to drink and they nailed it perfectly. The rich and creamy flavor of the vanilla paired with their expertly crafted espresso is simply heavenly. While I’m not the biggest fan of tonic water, I wanted to give their espresso with tonic a try due to the rave reviews I had heard. Although it wasn’t quite to my taste, I can still appreciate the quality of their ingredients and the care put into each drink they create. The coffee shop itself is also a delight – from the small gift shop to the on-site bean roasting, it’s clear that Dark Maroon Coffee takes their craft seriously. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere only adds to the overall experience.Overall, I highly recommend Dark Maroon Coffee to anyone looking for expertly crafted coffee drinks, a unique and inviting atmosphere, and top-notch customer service. Side note: Not sure if they where busy, but the coffee baristi asked us as we where walking out the door to grab out glasses and plates and bring them up to the counter. Thought that was a little strange and awkward. We didn’t see any place on the counter or exit where it stated “please return used dishes here.” Due to the cost and tipping, I would think they would provide the service to clean up.
