UPDATED 8/9/2024
The Vegas Best Awards, presented by Flyertap, invites users to recognize the best businesses, activities, attractions, entertainers, and people in Nevada.
Nomination surveys are anonymous and do not require registration. However, you will be asked to provide your name, email, and telephone number to receive updates. You can submit your nominees in any topic area and return to complete the survey anytime before the deadline.
All nominations and voting are done through our website, vegasbestawards.com, which includes a link to our voting platform. No other form of voting will be considered.
The nomination period begins at noon PST on July 18 and ends at 11:59 PM PST on Wednesday, August 18, at vegasbestawards.com. We depend on our audience to provide us with the names of outstanding individuals, businesses, and establishments in over 500 categories.
Once the nominees are finalized, our audience will be asked to vote for one choice in each category. According to our guidelines, you can nominate or vote once every 24 hours. Vegas Best Awards reserves the right to refuse nominations at its sole discretion.
We invite our audience to nominate their favorite businesses and services in Nevada by choosing from one of the 16 topic areas listed below:
Only nominations from Nevada will be considered for the awards. Nominations outside of Nevada are welcome to participate as advertisers on our website, vegasbestawards.com.
To nominate someone, enter their name and city in the text entry fields. Although unnecessary, providing additional information such as a phone number, address, or URL will help us verify the nominee. You are not obligated to nominate someone in all categories.
The deadline to add nominations is 11:59 PM PST on August 18. It's okay to nominate a single business in multiple categories. A business with multiple locations will count as a single nomination during the voting phase. Only organizations and activities operating in Nevada are eligible for nomination.
A nomination is required for a business to appear on the final ballot. Businesses that are business associates or advertisers of vegasbestawards.com or its affiliates will not receive special treatment.
Our submission period has ended. However, late entries may be considered at our discretion upon request. Please email all late entries to support@vegasbestawards.com for consideration.
Businesses with multiple locations, including franchises, will be considered a single nomination for the voting phase unless the company specifies otherwise.
All business associates and advertisers of Vegas Best Awards and any other affiliated company are not given special treatment, including our presenting sponsor. However, Vegas Best Awards reserves the right to refuse nominations at its sole discretion.
When selecting nominees or winners, the Vegas Best Awards does not consider business licenses, trade affiliations, Better Business Bureau ratings, or online ratings. The public is solely responsible for nominating and selecting the winners of the Vegas Best Awards through online nominations and voting.
To be eligible for the ballot, a category must have at least three distinct businesses competing for votes. If someone is nominated for a category they don't qualify for, we will decide whether to move the nominee to a similar category or reject the nomination at our discretion.
Once verified, businesses, organizations, or nominated individuals will be added to our ballot. If a business receives enough votes to make it into the top five, they might need to complete a simple online questionnaire.
This questionnaire will ask for basic business information such as name, location(s), year established, business hours, phone number, and web address (if any), and also requires the submission or availability of a photo of the business, organization, or individual. Participation is free of cost and obligation.
Regular voting begins at 1:00 AM on August 19 and ends at 11:59 PM PST on September 28.
A third party tabulates nominations and votes. The Vegas Best Awards only know the contest results once they are publicly announced. In each category, our audience votes on their favorite nominees. You are permitted to vote in each category once per day.
Businesses, institutions, individuals, and schools are encouraged to promote the contest to gain nominations and votes. Competitive advertising, special offers, and campaigns are permitted; however, at its sole discretion, the Vegas Best Awards reserves the right to exclude from the competition any businesses or individuals that engage in activities intended to "rig" or "fix" the voting process. Suspect votes may be disqualified in the count.
Bots, robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed, vote exchange websites, or any other automated means designed to circumvent the "one ballot per person per day" rule are not allowed. Contestants found using these methods to speed up their votes risk having their votes disqualified without notice. They may also face disqualification and removal from the competition.
All late entries must be emailed to support@vegasbestawards.com for consideration.
The winners' names will be posted and announced at vegasbestawards.com on December 9 at noon. In a tie in any category, more than one winner or runner-up may be awarded.
