Terrible Attorney! They missed deadline after deadline and when I called to complain they withdrew from my case causing my SSA to be denied! Save yourself a lot of heart ache and go elsewhere!

Won’t get back to you in a timely manner, staff is always out off of office When I called to make a complaint about how long it take The receptionist hung up on me.. Would not recommend Shook and Stone.

I am so very disappointed with this law firm. My husband hired them to assist with going to court for a final shot at a social security disability claim. After a few months we called to see what the next steps will be for his case. We were told at that time, that my husband’s case was not assigned to a case manager (paralegal?) or an attorney. We were told that we would be notified when he had a new case manager/ attorney working on his case. That was August, 2022. My husband has made numerous calls to Shook & Stone during this time and sent emails to them with no response! The sad thing is he has heard from Social Security a couple of times, but not his law firm….WTH??

Well, if you expect a Attorney to keep you up to date. Or who emails you information you find they have on google: like FCE and other valuable info …This may not be a place for you.It may be just workman comp cases.I could never reach anyone .. and your left for months not knowing anything.It’s 33% of what they get for you. I was told a few times that my schooling buy out they don touchThen was told they only take 10% of the school buy out? Was a brutal year. If you think I believe they worked for that 33% I would probably say no.But at the end I did get money. And I’m gratefulFor: Shook n stone.All those valuable info I had to find on my own trying to understand what was going on with my case.It would of been nice to wake up and someone from your office would of emailed me it! It’s your info. And it would of answered a lot.Ppd and FCE You put it together but If you don’t use it for the ones paying you????Kind of worthless info..I know your busy.As human beings, we need something to wrap my mind around, if we’re just sitting over there wondering what’s going on..It sends you off and grasping at anything and everything mode. Knowledge is power gives some occasionally it works really good.

The biggest scam I have ever come across in my life. Not only was I told I was approved with a check on the way 3x but I never spoke to my lawyer only my case manager who switched up after the beginning. I’m approved, I’m not approved. I send in more paperwork, approved and then not approved. Their inconsistencies with false information was nothing but running in circles. I was depending on my disability for my care and my childrens care. I’m facing homelessness because of their insolence. They not only lied, but they also don’t know basic law or the routine of paperwork or how SOcial Security works despite being separate partners yet working together. I swear these people are nothing but scammers! They called me up and said I didn’t get it and that was that. They tried to hang up on me and said my case was closed when I haven’t even talked to my lawyer. I said my case wasn’t closed and the case manager said we’ll send you the paperwork in the mail. The “paperwork” for this pro-bono place was an itinerary of fees I had to pay on top of not getting my money. Previously discussed with an actual human being when I picked this firm I was told they don’t get paid until the money comes in. Cool. Where’s my money then? It’s nothing but a scam. I am told this isn’t even the first fucking time this has happened here. And I’m reporting them to the bar because I won’t let another victim after me get this handed to them. Whoever was hired on my case is the reason why this entire company will be going under.

Absolutely recommend them. They went above and beyond to make sure i knew what was going on with my case. Casey and lisa and liza were amazing and really really friendly and had awesome communication the whole process.

My husband’s SSA case was tricky because of DLI (date last insured) – Shook & Stone took his case and supported him through the appeal and hearing process. Other firms wouldn’t take his case, but Shook & Stone believed in him and fought to win! Alexis helped complete all the paperwork and was very responsive when we had questions. I recently had my Attorney leave his firm and had to switch lawyers in the middle of my SSD case. Making the change to Shook and Stone was a excellent choice. I have to say that working with our intake person was great and now we have a Pre-Hearing Case Manager named Miranda who is on top of it. She responds quickly and efficiently.
