In A Nutshell:-The Bootlegger Italian Bistro was highly recommended by some local friends.-After finally being able to grab a meal here, we walked out feeling like the food was just okay.-The Frutti di Mare honestly was disappointing.-The noodles were not al dente, the sauce was very watery.-The clams & mussels you can tell were fresh, but the rest of the seafood was probably frozen & tossed in.-The bread looked great, but it was pretty hard.-The marinara sauce that comes w/ the bread is very good though, wish I had that sauce in the Fruitti di Mare.-The Chicken Marsala turned out pretty good, so I would suggest that dish.Overall, after reading all the reviews about this place & this experience I don’t think it’s worthwhile for a return trip.
Date night with the wife. Richard was our waiter! The service was excellent! Singer Bob Anderson and his crew were performing this evening as well. The music was wonderful. The wife was enjoying the ambiance and the performance. The salad was excellent, Wife ordered the classic pasta, and I ordered the vegetarian steak. The taste was so exquisite that I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Las Vegas! Wife ordered the Italian Margarita, and I ordered chardonnay red wine. Customer ServIce was always superb.
Follow up – We did go back three weeks later, had Cody as our waiter again, and it was perhaps an even better experience than it had been. We actually went back the second time with another couple and all 4 of us just loved it. Will be back soon yet again.
Despite a packed house, the service was great and the food did not disappoint! Will definitely visit again.
This is a great place to go. From food to service.. excellent. I got the spaghetti (I know very basic), but it was amazing. Location is odd and away from strip, but worth the drive.
Good, quick service. Waters were always full. Classy and elegant atmosphere. Felt very authentic and Italian. Opted for the Vegan Chopped Steak. Lots of veggies including a huge head of broccoli. A bit overpriced for what it was ($28). Pretty much a double Beyond Meat patty with grilled veggies. I was skeptical that it wouldn’t be filling, but it did include a few slices of roasted potatoes. Good flavor. The free garlic bread knots were great and good filler in case the entree doesn’t fill you up. Forgot to ask if those were vegan so check on that if you’re vegan. Recommended and would come back again.
Not my favorite… Sad to say…it wasn’t BAD, it just wasn’t super amazing either. Server was great, the inside definitely could use some updating. It felt really dark and dirty.
Food was excellent service from Mark was awesome, his recommendations were spot on. Water glasses never went dry. Nice ambiance. Second time there and they never disappoint. They were booked but squeezed us in.
