Aloha Specialties must be doing something right, as the place was jam packed and had long lines comprised of primarily Hawaiian transplants during lunch hour. The food is all tasty, with really great portions, and at reasonable prices. Loved the spam musubi, mahi mahi, and the mac salad. The people who worked there were all so incredibly friendly too, keeping the lines moving fast.If you’re in the Fremont Street area and craving some Hawaiian food, Aloha Specialties is where it’s at!

When the all time Hawaii “go to” restaurant “Zippy’s ” comes to town, I think that “Aloha Specialties” will have nothing to worry about.Heads up to the majority of Hawaii style restaurants here in Las Vegas.  Work on your consistency, value and quality.Zippy’s is not the greatest but you can be sure you’ll be getting the same taste, quantity and what you’re used to from them.Again, consistency, quality and value is what will ensure your survival.  Keep focused. Think of all the local food places in Hawaii that are still thriving no matter where a Zippy’s restaurant opens.Examples: Taniokas, Rainbow drive in, Fukuya on King St  etc etc . You get what I mean… you know who they are…Restaurant business are one of the toughest businesses to be in. Focus to survive ! We in Vegas have a few Excellent local food   Places that can also survive if you pay attention..Thank you !

Tucked away inside California Hotel is this gem of a spot. If you’re in the mood for a taste of the islands or on a Spam kick, thIs is your next spot. Well-priced for the massive plate you get. Safe to say our bellies were all content. We chose the Mix plate and the Local plate!

We love this place!!  Whenever visiting the 9th island we must eat here!!! Lines can be crazy long, but considering the food… we don’t mind the wait!!!!   Most people will eat and leave to allow most to get a table to dine in.   From the garlic chicken to breakfast dishes and of course the saimin!!! So ono!!! Always a cool vibe and lots of aloha spirit!

Off the Hook! Absolutely delicious food! I am a huge fan of Loco Moco, and this is one of the Best versions of the dish I’ve had in Vegas. The gravy alone is worth the trip to this place. So rich and delicious, a huge beef pattie and two eggs any style, so damn good! The Kalua Pork is also delicious, and that mac salad is to die for! Service is quick, efficient, and friendly. There are numerous dishes on the menu, so there’s something for everyone. This is a must stop in if you are at the FSE! Do yourself a favor and trust me GO HERE, you can thank me later!

I went here one time and I’m wary to give this place another shot. First, they lost my order and I ended up waiting at least 20-30 minutes for my food after my entire family had finished their meals. Then, when I finally did get my food, I ordered a loco moco, it was terrible. The patty was inedible, and the gravy wasn’t good either. I would’ve been happy if the food was good, even though they lost my order, but it wasn’t.

Love love looove the Korean chicken! But I must warn you, although almost always good, it is not consistent. I believe the chef changes. Sometimes the chicken is spicy and sometimes not. Either way, best Hawaiian food in town.
